Avon Timber Merchants will be closing for the festive holidays on Friday, 20th December 2024, at 12 noon, and we will reopen on Thursday, 2nd January 2025, at 8 am.
All orders placed online will be delivered as soon as possible once we return. If you wish to place an order to arrive before our shutdown, please email us at [email protected] or contact our office directly on 02476 304848, and we will do our best to assist where we can.
Our quoting system will remain available during the shutdown; however, it will not be actively monitored. Any quote requests received during this time will be processed promptly after our return.

If you are looking to create the best staircase, you need to start with a great stair base rail. At Avon Timber, we sell several stunning hand and base rails made from a variety of incredible materials. Our range of banister base rails are competitively priced and are available in a variety of species, allowing you the opportunity to customise your staircase the way you want it.
Available in various sizes, buyers have the option of choosing oak base rails, whited primed base rails and pine base rails.
Our selection of stair base rails can be ordered in store or online now. Buyers also have the option to collect their hand and base rails in store or arrange for them to be delivered straight to their home.
