Benchmark Pine Edwardian Stair Spindle
Manufactured in the UK by Cheshire Mouldings Ltd from Scandinavian Softwood these spindles are designed to go into 32mm or 41mm grooved Hand and Base Rails between Newel posts.
Please note that gap between spindles must not allow a 100mm sphere to pass through.
To calculate the number of spindles you need for your flight of stairs, allow 2 spindles per step and deduct 1 at the bottom (next to the newel post) and 1 at the top (next to the newel post).
To calculate the number of spindles required on your landing simply measure between the newel posts (in millimetres) and divide by either 112 for 32mm wide spindles, or 121 for 41mm wide spindles.

- Approx. 7 working days: Planed Hardwood (Un-joined piece with Square Edges only) and any MDF Window board that requires bespoke resizing
- Doors:
- Shown as “In Stock” based on XL Joinery availability; stock levels are not live and may occasionally change
- Not held in our yard – delivery only via XL Joinery
- Typical delivery: 3–5 working days if in stock at XL Joinery
- If urgent, contact us before ordering to confirm availability
- For mixed orders, the longest lead time applies. Delivery times exclude weekends and Bank Holidays.
- Special delivery requests: Quick or Saturday delivery via our courier partner can be requested by emailing [email protected]. If a quote was requested without specifying special delivery, standard lead times will apply.
