Oak Stair Klad is used to convert your existing staircase into a stylish looking solid oak look stair. The oak treads and risers are designed to be cut to size and simply stuck onto your existing staircase, using a flexible polymer adhesive. The Stair Klad system, designed by Cheshire Mouldings to renovate your staircase in a simple and easy way.
The Stair Klad system now allows you to renovate your entire staircase with Treads, Risers Mid Landing and Cheshire Mouldings Balustrade Ranges. BEFORE
Simply strip your existing stair covering away from your staircase and sand the treads (Steps) and risers ready to stick the Stair Klad into position
Measure your existing treads and risers allowing for the bullnose of the new Stair Klad to sit proud of the existing tread so the riser can slot into the pre-grooved tread.
Block the Stair Klad riser away from the existing staircase riser so it sits into the pre-grooved tread
Measure any mid landing areas and cut the Stair Klad Extension T&G Boards to fill the area.
Glue your Stair Klad into position using a suitable polymer adhesive which remains flexible, allowing the treads and risers to flex in extreme temperatures.
Your balustrade can be replaced with matching oak stairparts. 
Cover your string (The outside) of your staircase with the Stair Klad Oak Veneer
The inside of the String can be stripped back to the wood and stained to match oak treads and risers or painted in a contrasting colour.
Finally stick your Oak Stair Klad Treads, Risers and Extension Boards into place with a polymer adhesive.
The top landing can be finished in any floor covering you desire. If its carpet then simply bend the carpet over the top tread bullnose to finish. If its hardwood flooring then floor up to the top tread and finish with a suitable timber moulding to hide the old tread after planing down the bullnose to a square edge.
